About
WaveCore Play started as a group chat between a few friends who kept sending each other screenshots of racing games at midnight. At some point we decided to turn those late-night arguments into something more useful, so we built this site to keep our notes in one place.
We focus on games you can actually enjoy on a phone during a commute or a break. That means we care about controls, load times, how the game feels in short bursts, and whether it nags you to death after the third session.
Every game we cover gets played properly, not just launched once for a screenshot. We usually put in several hours across different days, because a game can feel brilliant in the first ten minutes and hollow a week later.
We're independent. Nobody hands us a script, and we don't pretend a mediocre game is a masterpiece just because it looks shiny in the store.
Lukas Brandt — Lukas has been playing arcade racers since the days of tiny screens and worse framerates. He runs the editorial side and still argues that drift controls beat tilt steering every time.
